Joshua Morris is a Ballarat local who is passionate about standing up for the communities in Western Victoria.
Joshua and his wife Louise live in Ballarat with their four children.
Joshua grew up in Ballarat and attended St Patrick’s College. After School he attended the Australian Catholic University and in 2004 graduated with a Bachelor of Education.
Joshua worked as a PE teacher at St Thomas Primary in Drysdale, before spending a year overseas at the Emirates National School in Abu Dhabi. After returning home to Australia Joshua spent five years as a teacher at the Darley Primary School.
Joshua is passionate about making a difference in his local community and in 2012 this passion led him to stand for a position on the Ballarat Council. Joshua was elected as a Councillor in the South Ward and went on to become the Mayor of Ballarat in November 2013.
In 2014 Joshua was elected to the Victorian Parliament as a Member for Western Victoria Region in the Legislative Council.
Since his election Joshua has been working hard with local communities to hold the Andrews Government to account and make sure we get a fair share.
